Bronx, NY On Wednesday, November 18th at 12:30 PM, NYC-based nonprofit The Doe Fund will host a winter coat giveaway for the tenants of Webster Green, The Doe Fund’s award-winning affordable and supportive housing residence at 3100 Webster Ave. The event is in collaboration with New York State senator Jamaal Bailey.

The 100 coats will be donated by Jack Jaffa & Associates, a longstanding partner of The Doe Fund and one of NYC’s largest, best-known real estate consulting firms. JaffaCares, the philanthropic division of Jack Jaffa & Associates, has been involved in spreading kindness for many years. Through its NYWarm initiative, it has donated hundreds of coats to those in need.

“There are many people with good will; there are few who make an impact like Jack Jaffa & Associates is making for the community at large, in the halls of legislature, and on behalf of our clients,” said Michael Jaffa, COO of Jack Jaffa & Associates. “It’s all about giving back, and we are blessed to have such incredible partners as The Doe Fund.”

“The Thanksgiving season is a time for gratitude,” said John McDonald, COO of The Doe Fund. “The residents we serve are grateful for this much-needed winter clothing, thanks to the forward-thinking initiatives at Jack Jaffa & Associates. And we at The Doe Fund are humbled to be part of such a vibrant community here on Webster Avenue.”

Designed by Magnusson Architecture and Planning, PC to achieve LEED Gold status in sustainability, Webster Green features ground floor offices for on-site supportive services, community spaces for hosting classes and events, lounges overlooking the Bronx Botanical Gardens, a laundry room, and a spacious lobby. The residence offers a groundbreaking new vision that challenges preconceived notions of what affordable and supportive housing can be, and won the Queens and Bronx Building Association’s 2019 Building Award for Excellent Design and Construction.

All attendees will be required to wear masks and practice social distancing.
